Did You Watch Severance ?

Its that dreaded time of year. Don't get me wrong, winter truly is the evilchad season with the moodyness and the darkness during this time of year. Makes me feel like Wesley Snipes in Blade everytime I walk out. Where past 9pm, only the fiends are outside. Weather that'd have you put on a pair of timbs, a puffer jacket and record a music video outside your local housing project.

Even with Christmas, I don't like all the happyness. I can't stand happy people or happy music. It needs to be dark. Its why my favourite Christmas carol is Carol of The Bells. It has this looming dark energy in it that can be felt, especially once those low notes start hitting during the bridge. It sounds like the score to a late 70s horror movie and/or a song you'd hear sampled in a Metro Boomin/21 Savage collaboration. 

Its why I prefer midnight church services for that extra darkness that helps you feel like that. The difference from the midday service was night and day. The dimly candlelit altar, the sole vocalist leading in a hymn with dark vibes, the organs reverbing all over the place since no one is there. Midnight mass should feel like the Eyes Wide Shut ceremony but without the nudity and sex. That happens elsewhere.

The midday mass is overcrowded. Everyone's there with their families and their significant others, not a place for an evilchad. The vocalist replaced by an entire family of Filipinos playing what sounds like royalty free stock music from Youtube's audio library with a backing tambourine and acoustic guitar, all played poorly compressed from a speaker thats too loud. 

What does any of this have to do with Severance on Apple TV ?

I have an office party to attend, I need to catch a train and make sure my mask stays intact this evening.

Will there be a Part 2 ? I never follow up with these so don't set your hopes up.
