This service used to work well. In hindsight, I should have moved everything to wordpress.

From now on blogspot has this new, updated globo flat, minimal etc design on the back end. They got rid of their older UI that has been in service for years/decades. 

Pinterest using, 19 year old art school girls may like this because no blogspot has the same UI as the other services they use; but for most of us, we're suffereing.

Buttons with words have been replaced by flat icons that dont convey any meaning.

 

 

Another feature they removed was  the ability to write blogs in HTML. Which was useful in some cases. Maybe its still there but I can't find it.

This reminds me of the recent "redesigns" of Twitter and Reddit (the former, carried out by a female team).  Sites that worked perfectly well have been ruined by "artsy" types. On top of this all the additional trash on the screen has increased loading times. At least reddit had the foresight to include the old format as an option. But for how long ?
