General Life Updates + Reviews - 31/7/20

Artist of the month: Sheck Wes

I'm 21 now, I just hope I dont go bald within the next 6 years. In other news...

I did manage to fix the galleries on the main site. The main improvement was converting all the PNGs to JPGs to save on server space and loading times. To do this I used the ImageMagick Linux package to batch convert these files. In net I may have actually used up more space installing the package.

I added a brief paragraph on the "NASA" page that adds some context and explains why pictures of NASA administrator James Webb is close to pictures of Xi Jiping and SR-71 pilots.

Reviews

I was never big into the whole Vim + FileZilla software combo. My preferred software for all that is MobaXterm (Portable Version available) that does both file transfer and allows me to access my server's terminal.

The file browser on the left is the file transfer side. The bar below the terminal shows general server info.
It also has an in built text editor which is useful for quick edits here and there.

I've been playing the original Splinter Cell game this month. Pretty fun like all the games in the series (except Conviction, which looks horrible). Set the foundation on what Chaos Theory would later perfect. Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to find a PC copy of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for sale.
